Yeah I got off My Butt and went for a walk, listening to Blues of Desperation from Joe Bonamassa
The calender that I created yesterday says that I was scheduled to run between 5:30 and 6:30 tonight. But when I checked the weather forecast for today, I saw that it was probably going to be raining at that time. As a result, I decided to move the run to 10 o’clock this morning. I also made another change, I decided to walk instead of run. Since I have been having problems lately with my ears being clogged, I thought I would walk to Dollar General and get some ear wax removal medicine.I knew based on my running courses, that I could walk a course that would make the walk about a mile.
The Walk
So I put Joe Bonamassa’s new album Blues of Desperation on the iPod and I took off. I kept up a pretty good pace throughout the entire walk and finished the walk at around a 14:40 min/mile pace, which is probably only a couple of minutes per mile slower than I would have run the course. I will have to say that I did enjoy the walk! The most enjoyable part was that I could pay attention to the music rather then paying attention to my breathing When I struggle and too much attention to my breathing I lose track of the music. With the walk, that didn’t happen!
The plan for the rest of the week will be to walk tomorrow, and then again on Thursday and Saturday, then maybe I can start to run again next week, What I may try to do in the future is to run two to three days a week and walk two days per week
The Soundtrack – Blues of Desperation – Joe Bonamassa
The music that I was able to enjoy throughout the walk, and the music that actually drove my pace, was from the album Blues of Desperation. the latest from guitar wizard Joe Bonamassa. As I look over the tracks of the album I think, I like that track and that track, too – I honestly don’t think that there is a bad track on this great album. I will probably write a full review of the album tomorrow, but for now why don’t we just “go into the night” with the official video for the second track on the album :”Mountain Climbing”
