So when I have looked over my recently played on Spotify over the last couple of weeks I am confusedThe reason is that none of the music looks familiar. You ask – how come?
Let’s pretend you asked me. My answer would never because I’ve been exploring. In some cases I have been listening to some different genres. While in other cases I’ve listened to different subgenres. The different genres include some EDM with a psychedelic bent. While the subgenres include Desert Rock and Space Rock.
EK Discovers Spaceslug
As a result, in the section of the Spotify were they list different bands that are similar to band X I see a lot of bands I am I familiar with (remember I’m 69 years old). For example listed under More Like: Vinnum Sabbathi was a band called Spaceslug. The album show was Lemanis their 2016 release. The album looked interesting at least based on the album cover. Yes, I still do judge albums by their covers!
Anyway, I went to their overview page and saw their latest release was titled Leftovers. I decided to give that one listen. I enjoyed the album! Here’s what I discovered about Spaceslug.
Spaceslug are a Kozmik Doom power trio based out of Wroclaw, Poland. Their music is a blend of stoner metal, doom metal and space rock, drawing from space, time and multiverse theory.
The band has released three albums among other releases and have toured throughout Europe.
