Maybe I should change the description of this blog from Being , Doing and Getting Younger. Tuhe reason is it seems that the being and doing doesn’t include posting regularly
What’s Been Happening and Where My Blogs are Going
See over the last few days I have been doing. I ran on Wednesday and Saturday. A 5K on Wednesday and 4 miles on Saturday. But I still haven’t written about any of the runs!
In addition yesterday I pumped up the tires on my bike for the first time in a long while. I think I may use it as an alternative to running on really hot summer days!
I have also added a lower body workout to my morning dance-cardio workout! Last night I did my evening yoga routine again after missing several nights. Doing that routine seems to result in a better night’s sleep and gets me started feeling good in the morning.
I also finally finished Cold,Cold Heart by A.J. Cross. It’s book 21 for 2019. It was only the third book I read in May of 2019. I think at this point I am nine books behind the pace I need to maintain to reach my goal of 72 books for the year !
A Quick Book Review Break
Cold, Cold Heart is the fifth book in Cross’s Kate Hanson series. Hanson is a forensic psychologist working with the Unsolved Crime Unit (UCU) of the Birmingham England police department. In this installment the unit’s task is to resolve a ten-year old murder. The reason the murder needs resolving is that the original conviction was overturned because the evidence was determined to be insufficient.
While this book is the fifth in a series I think it worked fine as a stand-alone. I enjoyed the story and the main characters and I want to read the earlier books to find out more about them. So I do think I will be visiting Kate and the UCU again.
What Happened in May
Reading and posting both had bad Mays! Actually, my posting took a big hit in May because in the middle of the month my site’s host deactivated my account for performance issues. So I spent several days deleting corrupted files and the reinstalling the sites that lost key operating files.
Where My Blogs are Going From Here
Now four sites including EKKARN are back in operation. The other sites are: music.ekareader.site where you’ll find a A Jazzy,Proggy, New Age Safari and finally, my original site Me,Myself, Music and Mysteries.com.
A Jazzy,Proggy New Age Safari
Now I will try to keep all of these sites active and post different things on each site. The only site that I am sure about what I will be posting on it is A Jazzy,Proggy,New Age Safari. There you will find my explorations of the Jazz, Progressive Rock and New Age Music genres.
EKKarn is now described as Being,Doing and Getting Younger Next Year. So it will include Being the best version of me by doing the right things and things I love!!
EKKarn is also projected to include my current family life centering around my four children and three grandchildren
Me,Myself, Music and Mysteries
Me,Myself, Music and Mysteries will return to its roots which revolve around the music I have listened to through my 67 years along with the books I’ve read. The music includes classic rock of the 60s and 70s and Folk and Americana music and the books – lots of mysteries! MeMyself will also include my genealogical research.
So hopefully over the next several weeks I can organize the posts I have written over the last nine years and get them on the sites where they fit.
So wish me luck and I hope you come back to see how I’m doing!!
