Run with Falling Edge, Workouts with Classic Rock
Yesterday was supposed to be a running day. And like a true hard-core runner, I wimped out because it was too windy. There are several conditions under which I will not run. First I don’t run in the rain. My glasses do not have wiper blades and rainy conditions are. It good for me! Second, I see no reason to run when the temperatures are below 30 degrees. Nor do I run at night! And finally, when it’s really windy.
Tuesday’s Run
I must say though, that Tuesday while the wind wasn’t as strong as it was yesterday it was still noticeable. But the course I was running wasn’t oriented so I was running into the wind for much of the run. Hmm, thinking about it I haven’t posted about the run yet.
The Results
Total Distance 3.15 miles Total Time:30:40 Avg Pace 9.43 min/ mile.

While I still think I can improve I’m pretty happy with those times.
Tuesday’s Soundtrack – Fe3 – Falling Edge
The soundtrack for Tuesday’s run was Fe3 the third release from the band Falling Edge. They are a Symphonic Prog Progressive Rock Band from Canada. The band was originally founded as a quartet. They kept the four member line-up for the first two albums. The group now appears to be a duo compose of Chris Rupert on acoustic & electric guitars, bass, keyboards, lead vocals and Rob Kovar on drums, percussion, vocals.
While the run was pretty easy, I was trying to push myself so I wasn’t paying a lot of attention to the music. I did like what I heard though and I really want to listen to Fe3 again when I am in more relaxed setting.
Here’s a great review of Fe3 from The Progressive Aspect..

Yesterday’s Workouts
Anyway, while I didn’t run yesterday I did do two dance-cardio workouts. The first in the morning was 26 minutes in length and I burned 248 calories. That was to be a pre-run workout, but because I’m wimpy I didn’t do the second part. So late last night I did a second Dance-Cardio workout followed by my nightly yoga routine.(slightly modified) That second workout was 20 minutes long and burned 207 calories. So while I didn’t run I didn’t run yesterday the calories burned by the two workouts was just about equal to a run.
The Soundtrack for The Workouts..….
Except for Al Hirt’s “Java” The soundtrack is composed of songs from The Who,Jefferson Airplane. Creedence Clearwater Revival and The Doors. It gets me moving.
