Thoughts About Mindfulness and Mystical Morning..
Lead to New Directions for My Blogs and a Mystical Morning Commute!
The other morning while meditating my mind turned toward my blog and I thought of my blog in relationship to my body mind and spirit. Much of what I try to do during the day is directed at one of those three aspects of life. Whether it’s trying to enrich and keep my mind sharp by reading, exercising and eating right to help my body and meditating and listening to New Age music to lift my spirit, the actions I take revolve around these aspects of life. Anyway what I am going to try for a while is to keep this blog oriented toward the rejuvenation, and revitalization of my mind, body and spirit,

Alex de Grassi – AM Acoustic Mix – Part II
Alex de Grassi Provides the Middle of a Great Morning Mix.
So yesterday morning’s acoustic guitar mix began with a few tracks from Acoustic Alchemy’s album Blue Chip. The great acoustic guitar vibes continued with music from albums by Alex de Grassi and Brooks Williams, two of my favorite acoustic guitarists. Alex de Grassi‘s music came on in the middle of the commute I listened to a few tracks from the album A Windham Hill Retrospective. The music for the last part of the commute was composed of music from Brooks Williams’ album Little Lion a favorite of mine!
Acoustic Alchemy Kicks Off a Morning Guitar Mix
Blue Chip and the Music of Acoustic Alchemy
So long ago and not so far away, before the iPhone and and Spotify I most would burn my music to CDs and listen to my CD player through the car radio. Last night as I was moving things around I moved an old CD case with some odd CDs in it. One of the CD was marked MIx One – New CDs,and the date was 12/31/2002! So now that I have a car radio that can play MP3 CDs I decided that the songs on that CD would be the soundtrack for this morning’s commute to babysit Oliver.
Update:Two Runs, Music From Armik and Stubblefield!
The Guitars of Jim Stubblefield and Armik Power Two Runs!
The Run – Sunday October 25, 2015
So the last two runs I need to catch you up on are from Sunday and Tuesday of this week. I didn’t get to run on Sunday until almost five o’clock and since I knew the sun would be setting a little after six o’clock and I was a little tired I decided not to run a full 10 K! The first three miles of the run were great the splits were: Mile 1 – 10:00/mile. Mile 2 10:07 /mile Mile 3 10:09 / mile. I started to struggle a little on mile four with the pace dropping to 10:14 /mile. Then the bottom fell out on mile 5 with the pace dropping to 10:42 / mile. Since my overall time was close to an hour I decided that was when I would stop!. The overall distance was 5.80 miles at an average pace of 10:20 /mile. Which is really good! The other good thing was my maximum heart rate on the run was 152 beats per minute (bmp) and the average was 148 bmp.
Encantado – Jim Stubblefield
Encantado – Showcases Jim Stubblefield’s Guitar Wizardry!
So last week while I was reading Richard Laymon’s No Sanctuary I was also listening to Encantado the latest album from flamenco guitarist Jim Stubblefield. I stumbled on Stubbefield’s music on a trip a few years ago to the Princeton Record Exchange. On that trip I bought his 2007 release Inspiracion and really liked it. I haven’t listened to it enough lately though, I used to listen to a lot of flamenco guitar when I was writing reports at Lippincott, which I haven’t been doing at all lately!! Anyway I went to Spotify and was going to listen to Inspiracion but then I saw that Stubblefield had released Encantado so I gave that album a listen and I am a bigger fan of Jim after giving the album several listens!! This morning I listened to some of the album on my way back from a shopping trip to Target and then this afternoon it was the soundtrack for my hour-long run!!
Classic Rock Favorites Provide a Morning Soundtrack!
A Playlist Featuring Six Great Classic Rock Guitarists….
So a couple of weeks ago I created a quick playlist of some of my favorite Classic Rocks songs. Then I never listened to it until yesterday when it became the soundtrack of my morning drive to babysit Oliver. Basically, I wanted to listen to some music that would put me in a good mood for what I knew would be a long day of continuous motion!!
