So for the last several weeks possibly a month I have been without my glucosamine and chondroitin pills and my knees have felt the effects, particularly when I go up and down the stairs. I think this is one of the reasons that I haven’t run as much over this time, maybe not consciously but on some level it’s made me feel less like running! Last Saturday I finally bought new pills and boy, what a difference after a few days my knees felt great going up and down the stairs and yesterday I actually felt like running! I still suck but a least my knees feel good today!! While I didn’t feel bad throughout the run I did though have to keep slowing down to keep my heart rate down! I finished a 3.8 mile run just a little faster than last time with an average pace just under 10:30 per mile! Just building miles!!
Now the soundtrack for the run was supposed to be the new Americana album from The Statesboro Revue Ramble on Privilege Creek, but after the first track the progressive rock of Mindwarp Chamber came on and I remembered that the MOG app was on shuffle!! So the soundtrack became a mix of Americana and Prog and since prog songs tend to be just a wee bit longer than Americana songs the soundtrack had a more progressive flavor!! But let’s talk about The Statesboro Revuw first since I really have enjoyed this album for a while now!!
Here’s what Andy Hertsch of the Vail Daily News says about The Statesboro Revue:

The band is led by Stewart Mann’s songwriting, vocals, acoustic guitar and harmonica. His brother Garrett Mann provides some mean electric and slide guitar, the rhythm section is made up of Ben Bradshaw on bass and Kris Schoen on drums. Their début album released in 200, Different Kind of Light was produced by Grammy Award-Winning David Z who has also produced albums for Prince, Jonny Lang, Buddy Guy, Govt Mule. The album produced to Top 20 singles on the Texas Music Chart.

During their career The Statesboro Revue has shared the stage with: the Los Lonely Boys, The Wailers, the Allman Brothers Band, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Whiskey Myers, Dirty River Boys, Willie Nelson, Charlie Robison, Ryan Bingham, Reckless Kelly, Turnpike Troubadours, Randy Rogers Band, Bob Schneider, War, Arrested Development, Eli Young Band, Marshall Tucker Band, The Fabulous Thunderbirds and Will Hoge. That’s some pretty good company!!
