Yep, if you visit this blog you know it has had several names. And today I have changed it once again! I am renaming the blog Renaissance Granddad. The focus of the blog will switch to my attempts to become the best version of me that I can be.
I do not want to become stagnant over the next years of my life. I want to stay active into my 70s (which I will enter in October), my 80s and beyond.
In order for me to be the best version of myself, I continually strive to keep my mind and body in the best shape possible. All told, I even strive to improve both of them.
I strongly believe that a strong and active mind is the key to a healthy and active body! The following are some of the activities I engage in to invigorate my mind, body and spirit.

Reviewing the above list of activities, I see I am doing well in many areas and in others I may need some improvement.

Activities to Improve My Mind
As far as, activities under those to improve my mind. I have been reading a lot in 2021. I have already read 24 books. Additionally, I have been studying German a little almost everyday. When it cones to using iPhone apps and listening to new music I need to listen to more of it! I also need to do some more exploring concerning strategies to deal with my ADHD!!
Activities to Improve My Body
When it comes to activities to improve my body I have been exercising daily. Those workouts ha e been either Dance Cardio or Yoga. What I do need to do is start running again!
Recently I believe I have been affected by a rise in my blood sugar as a result of too many sweet treats. So I have cut those treats out and have also been checking what I buy for the amount of sugar they contain. This seems to be working!
Activities to Improve My Spirit
Finally, when it comes to activities that lift my spirits. I have not been doing any regular meditation so that is something I want to start up again. I have been spending almost every weekday after noon with two of my grandchildren and yesterday we had all three!!
While I haven’t done a whole lot of new genealogical research I have been keeping up with my DNA matches I think it’s time to sit down and write more stories about my family tree!!

The bottom line is renaming this blog will help me restart the blog because it will allow me to write about a variety of topics, not just music and books! So let’s go!
