So on this day in 1964: The Beatles were seen for the first time on US TV when a clip from the BBC’s ‘The Mersey Sound’ showing the group playing ‘She Loves You’ was shown on The Jack Paar Show.

and way back in 1945: Stephen Stills was born in Dallas, Texas., Stephen’s music appears in my music library as a member Buffalo Springfield, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, and Manassas. As well as several of his solo albums. Some background from Wikipedia as if we didn’t know –
Stephen Arthur Stills (born January 3, 1945) is an American multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter best known for his work with Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Stills & Nash (and Young). He has performed on a professional level in several other bands as well as maintaining a solo career at the same time. Stills was ranked #28 in Rolling Stone Magazine’s 2003 list of “The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time”.[1] Stills became the first person to be inducted twice on the same night into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for his work with CSN and Buffalo Springfield. He is often considered one of the greatest musician/songwriters of the 20th century.
Now i was going to use the song “4+20” for Stephen but somehow a song that ends with “Sometimes I wish my life would simply cease” did not really go well with birthday wishes..so I settled on one of my favorites from the Manassas album “Johnny’s Garden” Here’s a 2011 CSN performance of the song – So Happy Birthday Stephen and thanks for all the wonderful songs and music!
