The Prelude Implicit Kansas’ Latest Album Powers My First Run as a 65 year-old!

Another Attempt to Start Running Again with a Soundtrack from Kansas – The Prelude Implicit

So I had babysitting duties today with my granddaughter Zoe. Missy had to go to work earlier than usual so I had to be there by 7:30. The good thing about that was Missy got home a little after 3, which meant that I would be home by 3:30 or so and that meant there would be time to run today. Read More

Danish Space Rock from Causa Sui

Causa Sui – Return to Sky – Psychedelic/Space Rock-Denmark

So this morning I was looking for some music to start my day. I went to Spotify and then to Browse and My Discover selections. The second album among the ‘Top Recommendations for You’ was the album Return to Sky from  the band  Causa Sui. Having no idea about the band or the genre of music that they played, I gave them a try. What I heard was a pretty interesting instrumental band.!! Read More

A Walk/Jog to Restart Running – Music by Aisles

A Walk/Jog to Restart Running and Slow My Raging Biologic Clock…..

So for the last six to eight months, particularly the last three months, I feel that my biological clock has been moving ahead a full speed. While I have been keeping up with my daily yoga and meditation, even including a couple of days a week with light weights. I have done little else right. I have run maybe five to six times this year and now that I haven’t been for my walks with Oliver, I have packed on several unwanted pounds!! Read More

Run & Rock with Cargo from Royal Hunt!

The Run

So after our trip to Moorestown on Sunday, I wasn’t sure if I was going to run or not. But I was able to get myself moving and I headed on out. I loaded up a little prog on the iPhone, Cargo the latest from the band Royal Hunt and I was off, but not for long. Over the last several weeks, the back of my left shoe has rubbed on my foot and I developed a blister which popped and now I am left with the residual irritation, I have put a band-aid over the spot and that helps but Sunday I started running without the band-aid because my foot hadn’t felt too bad. Mistake! Read More

Eternal Wanderers and a Late Afternoon Walk

Is there a better name for a Neo-Prog Group to Power a Walk than Eternal Wanderers?
The Walk

So yesterday I actually got off my butt again and went for a walk! This one was a 3.1 mile walk at pace of 15:20 /mile which means the walk lasted 47 minutes and 34 seconds! Not bad overall, so it looks like one more walk tomorrow and then maybe I’ll try to run on the weekend! The soundtrack for the run was a Neo-Prog band Eternal Wanderers. Read More

Myrath – Legacy – Progressive Metal – Tunisia

I chose Legacy from Myrath. The album has been in my music rotation for about a week now and I like it more and more each time I listen to it! Read More

Delusion Rain – Mystery

Mystery – Delusion Rain – Canada – Neo-Prog

I haven’t visited the site – progstreaming.com lately, but I thought tonight would be a good night for some prog rock, so I took a trip to the site to check out the latest albums. When I search through prog albums by artists I don’t know (that’s most of them at progstreaming), the first albums that I give a listen to are the one’s whose albums covers look the most interesting. One of the album covers that caught my eye was from the band Mystery and their album Delusion Rain. Within the first few minutes of listening to the album, I knew I was going to like this band! Nice guitar, nifty vocals with words that I can actually understand and very melodic music. I was actually not surprised, when I went to ProgArchives, that the sub-genre of the band’s music was neo-prog, sometimes bordering on symphonic. Read More

Citizen by Billy Sherwood and the Miles Zip!!

The Run – November 12, 2015 – Creek Out and Back

Being the fair-weather runner that I am, I was a little concerned on Thursday, when I could see that it was raining in the morning. I thought that maybe my run would be washed out like it was on Tuesday. But the front moved through and by the time I was ready to run at around 4 o’clock it was cloudy but not raining. I decided that I would run my Creek Out and Back since it was getting close to dark and that course crosses only one main street and it is an easy run, which fit well with a day that started a 7 am at Target!! Run Update 10/22/15 – 4.2 Miles with Neo-Prog!

The Run: 4.2 Mile Harper Loop

So I have done a pretty bad job of posting about my runs lately, I don’t think I have posted anything since last Monday’s run. That run was my first run while wearing the Fitbit and it is a good one!! Since then I’ve run three more times and while none of the runs were as fast as that Monday run they have all been pretty good!! Read More
