Graduation II – Peter graduates from Rutgers – Camden

So it’s not often that you get to see two of your children achieve major milestones in their lives in the same month, but that is what we’ve been able to do this month. First, Elizabeth graduated from William and Mary and tonight our son Peter graduates from Rutgers – Camden!! The one good thing about tonight is that we don’t have to drive 8 plus hours to get there, we only have to drive to Camden. The one bad thing about tonight is that we have to drive to Camden. But seriously we could not be more proud of both of their achievements!

In Peter’s case it took him a little longer to get there but he also worked full-time at Target and got married during the time he was in school! He has worked really hard to reach this goal and I can’t wait to see the next one that he sets for himself. I know that he will probably do a lot more with his Political Science degree than I did with mine. Hell he interned at the Department of Homeland Security so he already has done more! Along with juggling school and marriage Missy and Peter have also had to deal with the loss Missy’s brother to lung cancer back in January. They have struggled along with Will and Nicole ever since they have been married!

Bossy Boots

Here’s a picture of tonight’s graduate back when he was affectionately known as “Bossy Boots”  things always had to be Peter’s way and that would drive his two older brothers nuts, when they were upset with something that Peter got his way with that really was minor, I would always tell them “You have to pick your battles!”

Anyway Pete you have grown up to e a wonderful person, a great husband and I know that Missy’s family thinks the world of you and that makes your mom and I very proud. So congratulations on your great achievement and I can’t wait to see what comes next!! I’m sure it will be great and done the Peter way!!
