So one of the artist that I noticed on the Indigenous Music Culture. RPM music page was Robbie Antone’s Blues Machine. When I read in his biography that the band were:

2011 London Free Press Local Album of the Year winners
I felt I had a better than fair chance of liking the band. As soon as I heard Robbie’s harp playing I knew I was a fan!! Robbie Antone “Wolf Clan,” hails from the Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation. The band currently calls London, Ontario home. For 10 years he labored away in the shadows of more prominent regional artists – always studying his late great favorites like Sonny Boy Williamson II and Little Walter and more recent masters like Charlie Musslewhite and Kim Wilson (Fabulous Thunderbirds). Regardless of whom he was backing, Robbie’s powerful leads, thrilling runs, and incredible solos were always the show stoppers. In 1999 he stepped out front. Backed by his own band, and displaying a strong, soulful vocal ability – Robbie Antone’s Blues Machine was born.

The album that I’ve been listening to is his 2012 release Red Road Blues and it’s damn good!
