Spheric Universe Experience Makes a Slow Run Better!

Ok so a few days ago I was listening to Jerry Jeff Walker’s album Live at Gruene Hall. At the beginning of the album Jerry Jeff says…”It’s been a few years since we did a live album Let;s see if we can get the swing of things again” In that spirit I’ll say…”It’s been a few years since I blogged in a regular basis, let;s see if I can back into the swing of it again!!”

I ask myself why I got out of the swing of blogging. The best answer that I can come up with is the following. Everybody knows more about books and can analyze books better than I can. Additionally, everybody knows more about music than I do and can analyze and write about them better than I can, All I can tell you is what I like that I listen to and read.

With that being said, blogging helps me search out both new music and new authors. That’s a good thing for this septuagenarian!

In addition to writing about the books and music I write about the actions I take to help turn back my biological clock. One of those actions is running,  I ran last year  on a regular basis. I also ran a lot faster! Unfortunately, this year I sprained my ankle in late May. The effects of that sprain were felt until the middle of August!

The Run

Anyway, today when I was faced with the options of, not running or running slowly, I chose the latter. It was a slow run. However, it was faster than I anticipated my overall pace was only about 20 seconds slower than my fastest recent run. So here are the Nerdy Details…..

The soundtrack for the run came from Spheric Universe Experience’s  2022 release Back Home

Spheric Universe Experience is a progressive metal band from France
