This morning I want to start writing about the CDs that I found at Goodwill last week. First up is the album Graham Nash David Crosby.
I have a always thought the harmonies of David Crosby and Graham Nash were special. They were obviously an important part of the sound of Crosby, Stills, Nash and sometimes Young. From Wikipedia:
One of the things that my ADHD brain likes is seeking out things that are new and different. Novelty appeals to me! My kids always would joke that I always bought anything that said new on the box! If we went out to buy a snack cracker if there was one that said “new” on the box that one was coming home!
Last week when I was searching for some new blues I was giving several albums a quick to see if they’d be something I’d like. One of the albums was from a blues artist I was unfamiliar with Tyler Morris. I put on his latest release Living in the Shadows. I only needed to hear a few minutes of the opening track “Movin’On” to know that this album and guitarist would appeal to me!
So once again in accordance with my new blog schedule I am way behind! I was supposed to write a post about the prog album that I had picked on Tuesday. The problem is I didn’t pick a prog album on Tuesday! So what I did yesterday was pick a prog album to be the soundtrack of my run. It’s Nostalgia for Infinity by Hats off Gentlemen, It’s Adequate.
So according to my new blog schedule (we’ll see how long it lasts) on Monday I was to pick a blues album for the week. I would then theoretically listen to it for two days and write about it on Thursday. ( So now I’m already ab few days behind lol) The album I chose was Ordinary Madness the latest album from Blues guitarist Walter Trout. It has been the soundtrack for my last two runs. It is one of the reasons that both of those runs have been outstanding. The other reason is the weather, which actually have more to do with them being good runs, but not by much!
